If you have thyroid disorders in your family, make sure your mention this to the doctor.
Ask for pathology tests to confirm if you have a thyroid disorder.
Thyroid Function (TSH, T4, T3) Thyroid Antibodies (TGO, TPO)
If you have enlargement of your thyroid gland or discomfort, please ask your doctor to order a thyroid ultrasound. A thyroid ultrasound is used to check the size, shape and texture of the gland as well detect any nodules or cysts within the gland.
