What Is The Thyroid?

The Thyroid Gland is a soft, small, bow-shaped gland, which is located in the front of the neck, below the voice box, or larynx. A healthy thyroid gland converts iodine into thyroid hormones.  Thyroxine (T4) is the main hormone produced by the thyroid gland.
