Welcome and thank you for visiting the Australian Thyroid Foundation's Website. We are here to help you understand the many aspects of thyroid disorders with information provided by Australia's peak thyroid patient organisation.

The ATF is a national member-based organisation, with every cent of membership fees and donations going towards supporting and educating members and the general public on the importance of Good Thyroid Health.

The ATF is a registered charity, not-for-profit organisation which is run solely by volunteers who give their time to provide members with many benefits and services.

Alarming statistics gathered by the Cancer Institute NSW show thyroid cancer is increasing in NSW. Diagnosis of the disease in women has increased by 84 percent and 40 per cent in men.

The ATF is thrilled to advise that as of August 1st 2007, Thyrogen (thyrotropin alfa-rch) will be Authority listed on the PBS for the post-thyroidectomy remnant ablation indication.
