Thyroid Information Day 2007

The ATF's Thyroid Information Day 2007 was held in The Auditorium at St. George Bank Headquarters at Kogarah on Saturday 2nd June. This was an event not to be missed!

The day began with attendees receiving an ATF bag full of sponsor products and thyroid information before a delicious morning tea was served.

This was followed with presentations by our medical advisors:

Professor Creswell Eastman – Thyroid Function for All Life Stages, From Childhood to Old Age

Professor Bruce Robinson – Thyroid Cancer – Diagnosis and Treatments

Professor Leigh Delbridge – New Frontiers – Thyroid & Parathyroid Surgery Without the “Big Cut”

The three professors gave the audience answers to all their questions and showed visual presentations of the latest diagnosis and treatments available.

Bree Amer – ATF Ambassador – spoke of her diagnosis of thyroid cancer and how The ATF helped her with support and information which has made a huge improvement to her recovery. Bree is an inspiration to thyroid cancer patients. Bree wants to do all she can to help the ATF raise awareness of thyroid disease and cancer through Australia.

Lunch was also served to the attendees.

Attendees also had the opportunity to purchase Gold Bows, t-shirts and audio recordings of previous Thyroid Information Days to support the awareness of thyroid disease throughout Australia.

The day was enjoyed by all, with attendees coming from as far as Tasmania to be part of the day.

Don’t miss out on the Thyroid Informaiton Day 2008!
