Gold Bow Day – 1 September 2008
Gold Bow Day will raise awareness of recent thyroid cancer research stating that thyroid cancer in NSW has increased by 84% in women and 40% in men over the past 10 years.
Money raised from gold bow sales will go towards improving the environment of radioactive treatment Rooms in public hospitals throughout Australia. Thyroid cancer patients are isolated in these treatment rooms for a 3-4 days, whilst undergoing radioactive iodine treatment. This treatment is given to thyroid cancer patients after surgery to remove their thyroid gland.
The ATF intends to make these treatment rooms more comfortable for patients during their stay. Annual Gold Bow Day sales will continue to support this fundraiser.
Please help the ATF by purchasing a gold bow. Download a Gold Bow Order Form here.
