The ATF is the support organisation on the Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) committee as the patient support organisation for thyroid related conditions due to the re-emergence of iodine deficiency and also the public support organisation to gain information and support on the importance of iodine supplementation either from bread making, iodised salt or pregnancy and breastfeeding supplementation.
